Pasargadae was the first capital of the Achaemenid Empire. It was first established as the capital by Cyrus the Great in 550 BCE.
The city of Pasargadae was known for its two beautiful palaces that bordered to create a massive garden. The engineering and artwork for the city was influenced from civilizations throughout the known world from Asia Minor to Assyria.
